After an abortive day at a farm near Barlborough and then the arrival of southerly winds, further progress for a few days became impossible. We could have stayed in the area pretending we were camping in a wind-lashed field, but it would have been costly, untrue and to no avail. (Also, I had had enough of wind when airborne on the previous days). So we headed home; I even attended an Athenaeum Singers on Tuesdaypractice in Warminster.

But today is Thu 9 May 19, and now there is a chance again after 4 slack days in Wiltshire. So we are heading north again to Barlborough to resume the trip - I hope - tomorrow early (Friday 10 May).

At this stage hoping for arrival Warminster on Saturday or Sunday.....
